"Yes Nomi, you're the only one awake, now go to sleep." - Nomi's parents
Everyone met at the carousel happy and healthy, ready for the day's adventures. The air was fresh and misty, with colorful leaves falling.
The 8:30am view of our meeting place. A beautiful day to host.
Soon after our morning greetings we head to the patch of grass behind the carousel. We have about 1 hour before the zoo opens, so we get busy looking at different leaves and sticks.
Laurel shows the gang how to stick leaves down the drain.
Abe this way
Where did this game of running to the rock then back into my arms come from? This happened several times.
"Cheese" was the word of the day. Maybe the host spent too much time behind the camera, hard not to with these beauties around. Here's Arbor working the camera as always.
"Mei Mei" (translate: mom, get your boob out, I need to know you're still my mama)
Another pose from Arbor
Laurel and Juni also get in for the camera. At some point Abe and Nomi were in there too but the host couldnt snap fast enough
These kids worked up an appetite so before the zoo, a serious snack session happened. The apples, oranges, mangos, almonds and bananas were all gone by 10am.
"Dog?"
"No its a sea lion"
"Roooooaaaaarrrrrr"
"These sheep are ok, but can I have a snack"?
Juni loved the baby goat
Arbor and his sweet sand piles
The rain didnt stop us, went inside the barn to see pigs
Feeding the animals
After a long while at the barn we only had an hour to fit in more to animals so we saw the sea lion show then prairie dogs, ducks and spider web. We served up chick parm which was finished around 12pm.
Time for naps!
